CME CREDITS

European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®)

The 55th European Society for Paediatric Nephrology Congress, will submit the application form in order to be accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists.
The accreditation will be submitted only for the Junior Masterclass taking place on 26-27 September and the Pre-Congress Courses taking place on 28 September 2023. It will involve didactic lectures from internationally renowned speakers, interactive case-based discussions and workshops and hands-on practical experience with dialysis machines and vascular access.
In the Pre-Congress Course there will be 3 parallel CME sessions covering:

  1. Inherited and Glomerular diseases
  2. Chronic Kidney Disease and Dialysis
  3. Transplantation

The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA).
To convert EACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, contact the AMA.

EACCME® certificates can be distributed to healthcare professional attending the accredited event (i.e. nurses, pharmacists, clinical scientists …) who wishes to benefit from EACCME® credits. It is expected that the healthcare professional’s association will recognise the EACCME® credits on a voluntary basis.

“Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org.
“Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.”

Procedure
Attendance to the accredited sessions will be monitored through scanner devices.
In order to receive CME credits for your Congress participation, make sure to scan your badge at the entrance and at the exit of Congress area.
The attendee will receive the personal link to access the CME questionnaire by email at end of the Congress (at 00.01 on 01/10 CEST). The CME questionnaire has to be completed by XX/X at 23:59(CEST).

Please note that the access code is necessary to access the CME questionnaire, you will receive the certificate by email once your participation to the sessions has been checked.
